Defending district champs off to a strong start

The North Penn-Liberty Volleyball team swept Cowanesque Valley in three sets on Thursday, September 7.

Liberty won the first set 25-10, followed it with a 25-12 second set win, and finished off the third set 25-9.

Brooke Harvey had 22 points, Mariah Kshir scored 11 points and had nine assists, JoAnne McNamara had 18 assists, and Maddison Minyo had nine points.

“My ladies played consistently tonight,” said Liberty head coach Holli Smith. “Consistent hitting, consistent passing, and consistent serving.”

The Lady Mounties are now 2-0 on the year, and will resume regular-season action on September 14 against Troy.
