Music trio 3D to perform on Thursday, June 28
Local favorite band, 3D, will be performing on the Green Free Library front porch on Thursday, June 28 at 7:00 pm. The event is part of the Green Free Library’s Summer Program, this year with a musical motif.
The concert will include a mix of tunes from a variety of eras and genres played on an assortment of different instruments, plus just-for-fun demonstrations of homemade musical instruments.
3D came into being in late 2016 when three local musicians, Daria Guelig, Dave Milano, and Dave Driskell wondered what might emerge if they synthesized their distinctly varied musical backgrounds. Daria’s hammered dulcimer delivered traditional Old Time and Celtic music. Multi-instrumentalist Dave Driskell added jazz and ragtime, and Dave Milano’s finger-style guitar fetched in folk, pop, and Americana. Their genre-blending experiment gave each of the three an opportunity to stretch their musical legs, and happily resulted in a unique ensemble group with an uncommonly engaging and diverse musical repertoire.
Bring friends, family, blankets and lawn chairs, and enjoy the fun! Green Free Library, 134 Main Street, Wellsboro, June 28, 7pm. (Visit greenfreelibrary.org and click on “programs” for more details.)
If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the program will be held in the main room of the library.
