Ag Happenings: Square Dancing
There are many activities that encompass the heart and soul of Tioga County, but one in particular stands out in this chilly season. With few things to do outside in the cold weather, it’s time to get moving at Tioga County square dances!
You can enjoy Tioga County square dancing for yourself on the first Saturday of each month at Tioga County Fairgrounds. Admission is $8.00 per person, or $14.00 for a couple. It is open to the public, from 7:30pm to 10:30pm.

Cooking with Dad: Venison Quesadillas
Jason takes an unlikely duo and makes a warm winter meal!
Place your folded tortilla with cheese and meat mix on a griddle or press, brushed with olive oil on each side and cook until the cheese melts. Flip it, to be sure to heat both sides.
After the cheese is melted and your tortilla marked with brown grill lines, plate your quesadilla and cut into desired pieces to enjoy with your family.

Attics, Basements & Secret Places: Baker Tilly
In 1931, the U.S. post office was constructed on Waln Street in Wellsboro, PA. This building, which was built during The Great Depression, is also a severe weather location. The structure is now home to BakerTilly, a full-service accounting firm in Wellsboro.
Specific locations around the post office were used by postal inspectors to oversee the mail sorters to ensure their jobs were done correctly. Other historic features include a walk-in safe and framed Fortune magazines from the 40s, 50s, and 60s, which adorn the walls as business décor.

Thomas Putnam and his many volunteers work with the children singing, dancing, creating costumes and sets all in just 9 rehearsals!
Come sing along to your favorite songs on Friday January 12th and Saturday January 13th, at 7:30 in the Blossburg school auditorium.

Hornets bring home Berguson Memorial Trophy
In the fourth annual matchup of the Margaret “Peg” Berguson Memorial Trophy, the Wellsboro Hornets came out on top, defeating rivals North Penn-Mansfield 62-38 on Thursday, January 11.
“We started out playing really well and shot really well then we went into a little slump,” said Hornets’ head coach Todd Outman. “We didn’t allow us to keep that lead because our defense started falling apart as well. So when you have those slumps, and we talk about this all the time, you gotta be able to play defense and we didn’t do a good job of that.”
